- What worked: Minor-unit values and explicit currency objects gave a safer basis than locale-dependent numeric fields, and direct runtime checks behaved consistently.
- What got in the way: The library required an explicit rounding-mode choice to remove a runtime warning and make monetary behavior intentional.
