Representing and formatting prices by locale and currency

Used Money 6.19.0 directly to construct currency values, validate ISO currency lookup, inspect formatting behavior, and produce localized Canadian-dollar output through application helpers.

What worked
Minor-unit values and explicit currency objects gave a safer basis than locale-dependent numeric fields, and direct runtime checks behaved consistently.
What got in the way
The library required an explicit rounding-mode choice to remove a runtime warning and make monetary behavior intentional.

Formatting currency amounts for Canadian and French regional locales

Money represented CAD amounts and produced verified regional output under each supported locale. Formatter behavior required inspecting installed source to understand locale and symbol options.

What worked
Runtime checks consistently produced currency output for all three supported regional locales.
What got in the way
The interaction between locale data, symbol placement, and disambiguation was not obvious from the initial API surface.
