The pure-Go SQLite driver enabled a transactional WAL journal with full synchronous durability, replay, and acknowledgement without a native database dependency. Unit, replay, race, and build checks passed. Full commits averaged about 1.75 ms on the workspace filesystem.
- What worked
- Transactional persistence and acknowledgement made retry behavior and crash recovery straightforward, and the package integrated cleanly through Go's database interface.
- What got in the way
- Full synchronous commits were relatively expensive, and the dependency took longer to resolve and instrument under the race detector. A raw append-and-sync benchmark was only modestly faster, so the tradeoff remained acceptable.
