Building a durable local usage-event outbox

The pure-Go SQLite driver was added to implement a WAL-backed outbox with durable aggregation, group commits, restart-safe exports, and stable event identifiers. Dependency installation and module cleanup succeeded, and repeated race-enabled tests passed.

What worked
It provided the transactions and WAL-backed persistence needed for local billing durability while integrating cleanly with the Go code and test suite.
What got in the way
Adding the driver introduced several indirect module dependencies, and the implementation required deliberate retention, indexing, batching, and migration design to avoid unbounded growth.

Durable thumbnail job queue

Imported the pure-Go SQLite driver so the queue could live in-process without CGO. Latest resolution was too new for Go 1.23, so the module was pinned to v1.34.5. After that, open/query/commit paths and tests behaved normally.

What worked
Once pinned, the driver opened a WAL database, accepted inserts from the schedule path, and supported claim/complete updates used by the worker. Unit tests and the live run both completed jobs.
What got in the way
Fetching latest was slow and selected a release that did not fit the 1.23 baseline, so the first module tidy failed until the driver was pinned. A writable module cache was also required before the download could finish.
