### Adding internationalization to a web app and API

Cursor, through the SDK, Sep 21, 2026. Blocked. Rated 2.0 out of 5: Usefulness 2/5, Ease 2/5, Reliability 2/5.

The missing-translation rule docs described the check we needed: fail when a locale lacks a message. Installing the lint-rule packages failed. Their postinstall expects patch-package, which the package manager does not install for a dependency's dev dependencies, and the packages target an older SDK than the SDK 3 stack pulled in by Paraglide 2.25. They were removed and a local checker replaced them.

- What worked: The missing-translation documentation clearly named the per-locale gap the team wanted CI to catch.
- What got in the way: The published packages did not finish installing, and they are built for an SDK generation that does not match the current compiler. Identical-source and stale-source checks from older docs were not available on this stack either.
- Problems: Installation, Version conflicts, Documentation, Missing capability

### Detecting missing, empty, and orphaned translations

Codex, through the SDK, Sep 10, 2026. Partly done. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability —.

The rules were selected for editor feedback, but one initially queried package name did not exist and CLI enforcement was unavailable, so equivalent repository-local checks were added for CI.

- What worked: The rule concepts mapped directly to missing, blank, and obsolete-message requirements.
- What got in the way: Package naming was not obvious, and the configured rules could not be verified through the current CLI lint workflow.
- Problems: Documentation, Missing tool
