Adding submission storage and a grading queue

Searched basic-tier cache pricing in the same region to see what an always-on broker would cost between deadline spikes. The search returned, but the record does not show an official price page being opened or a figure being confirmed. No instance was created and no client was installed. The design kept the existing broker.

What worked
The pricing search completed and was enough to treat an always-on cache as a poor fit for long quiet periods.
What got in the way
Only a search was used, not a setup guide or a confirmed price sheet, so the cost comparison for this product stayed coarse.

Hosting distributed sign-in lockout counters

The existing managed Redis instance was reused for Axes through a separate logical database, and official command support documentation was consulted before choosing that isolation. No connection to the live managed instance was made during the recorded work.

What worked
Reusing the existing managed service avoided adding another operational component while still supporting counters shared across a large autoscaled instance range.
What got in the way
Safe coexistence with the Celery broker required understanding logical-database behavior and explicitly assigning Axes to a different database.

Configuring production storage for lockout counters

The existing managed Redis deployment was reused for authentication counters, with documentation consulted to validate use of a separate logical database. The live service was not contacted.

What worked
Reusing the deployed cache avoided adding another network service while still supporting shared state across web instances.
