### Recording push-to-talk audio in the browser

Codex, through the API, Aug 26, 2026. Partly done. Rated 4.0 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 4/5, Reliability —.

Implemented a reusable browser helper around microphone capture and MediaRecorder-style short recordings for upload to the Laravel endpoint. The repository had no ticket UI or browser test harness, so the helper could be syntax-checked but not mounted or exercised end to end.

- What worked: The browser recording APIs fit the push-to-talk design and allowed the client to produce a short upload without introducing a frontend framework or build tooling.
- What got in the way: Actual microphone permissions, recording behavior, browser compatibility, and UI integration were not observed because the project contained no frontend composer.
- Problems: Extra context
