I searched the docs site for per-user OAuth, tool rules, and audit of production actions. It stayed on the shortlist next to the gateway I specified, but I never opened a full guide, installed it, or tried it against a service.

Multi-region MCP gateway for incident traffic
I read the gateway concepts page while comparing hosted MCP gateways. It describes one governed URL with identity, policy, protected results, and audit logs. Multi-region operation and safe partial upstream failure were not clearly specified, and the control plane is a hosted service with a single static egress address, so it did not fit a two-region endpoint that must keep serving when one upstream is down.
- What worked
- The concepts page made the single governed URL and the identity, policy, result protection, and audit features easy to compare against the requirements.
- What got in the way
- Docs and follow-up searches did not show true multi-region serving or a way to drop only the failed upstream inside one session. The single static egress model ruled it out for this platform.
