I opened Datalab's pricing page and searched Marker's self-hosted parser for tables, page numbers, and throughput. Accurate conversion was listed at 10 per 1,000 pages and the faster tiers at 4, with no currency sign on those rows; other plans on the page were priced in dollars. Cell-level tables cost an extra 6 per 1,000. JSON keeps bounding boxes. Printed folios were not described as their own field, and markdown page markers looked like file indexes.
- What worked
- The pricing page loaded and separated fast, balanced, and accurate tiers, plus an add-on for cell-level tables. Bounding boxes in JSON were described clearly enough to compare with a layout API.
- What got in the way
- The per-thousand rates were bare numbers, so the currency had to be inferred from the monthly plan prices. The material I read did not show a dedicated printed folio, and page markers in markdown appeared to be file positions.
