### Adding local pickup areas to listings

The public map service was queried for census-subdivision metadata and for a municipality by name. The English service document returned JSON with layer names, geometry type, and field names. The feature query route answered with an HTML page saying the web adaptor was not configured. French service URLs looked available on a header check and then failed on a full fetch. Feature download was abandoned in favor of the boundary archives.

- What got in the way: Feature queries never returned records. The query route reported that its web adaptor was not configured. French endpoints were inconsistent between header checks and document fetches.
