Adding shipment map view to web app

Added client map with port markers, status badges and per-mode legs. Vector styling covered markers, solid and dashed lines and popups well, and production build passed. Needed care around client-only loading and GeoJSON typing.

What worked
Vector layers handled markers, per-mode line styling and popups without a key or billing setup. Built cleanly for production.

Offline trail map with meeting point and route

Selected as the offline map engine and declared it as a native package dependency with a conditionally compiled view wrapper, local tile fallback, and automatic on-device caching design. Documentation search clarified install and offline pack APIs, but the native SDK could not be fetched or run here so on-device rendering remains unverified.

What worked
Clear no-key no-billing offline story fit the no-signal requirement and the dependency could be isolated behind a fallback so the app still builds without it.
What got in the way
API names could not be verified against the newest SDK in this environment, leaving some risk of signature drift in the offline storage and map view code.

Adding map view to shipments page

Added a client-only vector map with port markers colored by status and mode-styled legs using arcs for ocean and air and straight lines for road, plus legend and empty states. Install needed a lockfile update and retry, then builds and type checks passed. Runtime rendering was not observed in this environment.

What worked
Client-only loading avoided server rendering issues and supported per-mode styling, popups, and filter preservation.
What got in the way
Live rendering could not be checked here because no browser runner was available.
