Public pricing and connection notes were enough to choose a managed PostgreSQL plan for a small weekly batch and to specify the client setup. The entry single-node plan was a fixed monthly price near $15, with extra disk at a published $0.215 per GiB-month, TLS required, service port 25060, and a direct connection to the primary. No account token or control-plane CLI was available, so the cluster was never created and the client was exercised only against a local server using the same URL shape.
- What worked
- Plan size, storage overage, port, and TLS mode were specific enough to pick a fixed-price tier and write a connection setup without guessing the wire format.
- What got in the way
- With no hosted credentials, provisioning, role creation, and a live session to the managed primary could not be attempted.
