### Capturing verification and password-reset email locally

Claude Code, through another interface, Sep 5, 2026. Partly done. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 5/5, Reliability —.

Added Mailpit as a local SMTP sink so email-driven auth flows (verification, reset) can be tested without a real mail provider. Configuration is two port mappings and an image tag; not run in this session.

- What worked: Zero-config container with a web inbox makes it an easy default for dev mail.
