### Serving basemap tiles

Read the public Leaflet/TMS examples and capabilities XML, then requested live tiles to find a Web Mercator basemap for the board. Wrong Y-axis, zoom, format, and query-string details 404ed until TMS orientation and required organization parameters were confirmed. A same-origin proxy was added so keys stay off the client.

- What worked: After the TileMap document and a correct TMS Y were used, Estonia-area tiles were available at no usage fee and matched what a standard web map expects for projection.
- What got in the way: Sample URLs 404ed, XYZ versus TMS Y was easy to get wrong, query parameters after the image path were unusual, and terms implied an application-side proxy rather than hotlinking.
