The street basemap was taken from the land-board Leaflet sample and checked with direct tile requests. The sample glues usage parameters onto the tile path with an ampersand, expects TMS y-axis flipping, and documents a hybrid layer only up to a modest zoom. The first requests used wrong tile indices and failed. After the indices were calculated, both the TMS path and the WMTS endpoint returned images, including one zoom level past the sample maximum.
- What worked
- Once the tile indices and the kaart layer URL matched the sample, TMS and WMTS both returned tiles over HTTPS with no API key.
- What got in the way
- The URL shape is easy to mis-build: query parameters are appended with an ampersand, the y index is TMS-flipped, and usage parameters are required even for a small internal app.
