Promptfoo validation required the platform-specific libSQL binding. Installing the Linux x64 GNU binding explicitly restored validation after an optional-dependency-minimized install omitted it. It then worked, but requiring a platform-specific direct dependency reduced portability and setup clarity.
- What worked
- Once the exact native package was installed, Promptfoo configuration validation completed successfully.
- What got in the way
- Treating optional dependencies as removable left Promptfoo unable to load SQLite, and its error required adding a platform-specific package directly to the evaluation project.
