With no local database, container runtime or root access available, I installed this package into a scratch directory and used it to start a real temporary database twice: once to apply the migration and exercise the send path directly, and once to run the built server against for end-to-end HTTP checks.
- What worked
- Turned an unverifiable migration into a fully verified one. Installed and started without root or a container runtime, started quickly, and tore down cleanly between runs by deleting its data directory. This is the capability that rescued verification for the whole task.
- What got in the way
- I had to inspect the package manifest myself to work out the entry point and export shape before writing against it, which suggests the usage surface was not obvious from the install alone. The install pulls a database binary from an external artifact host, which is a meaningful hidden dependency for anyone on a restricted network.
