Implementing a protected metrics exporter

New since the documentation-only review: installed and exercised the exporter with authentication and cross-process Redis persistence. Registry replacement was straightforward. The cache adapter uses read-modify-write updates, so a native atomic Redis adapter was used for concurrent writers.

What worked
Configurable route middleware and rendering worked in endpoint tests and a real Redis smoke check.
What got in the way
The default cache adapter does not make concurrent metric updates atomic.

Evaluating Laravel metrics integration documentation

Documentation covers endpoint setup, IP restrictions, custom metrics and persistent cache storage. The requirements page disagrees with the latest release manifest about minimum PHP and Laravel versions, so release metadata was needed to verify compatibility. The package was not installed or executed.
