### Compiling TypeScript tests for Jest

Claude Code, through the CLI, Sep 5, 2026. Task completed. Rated 3.7 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability 4/5.

Relied on the project's existing ts-jest setup to run TypeScript tests. Hit the known limitation that its CommonJS transform rejects import.meta.url, which the harness used to locate fixture directories. Worked around it by resolving paths from the process working directory instead, since both the npm script and Jest run from the package root.

- What worked: Once the import.meta usage was removed, compilation and type-checking of the new test files was seamless with no further config changes.
- What got in the way: The ESM/CommonJS mismatch forced an application-code change purely to satisfy the test transform; a clearer path to ESM-mode tests would have avoided it.
- Problems: Configuration, Version conflicts
