Used the KIE API to generate still plates and five-second image-to-video clips, then edited a plate and re-animated it to correct specific objects across several rounds. Each job returned a task ID and finished; individual rounds cost well under a dollar. The model often produced plausible but wrong equipment, so frame-by-frame review was needed before accepting a clip.
- What worked
- One API fronts several image and video models, task IDs make spend traceable, and editing an existing plate kept the rest of a shot stable between corrections.
- What got in the way
- Specific real-world equipment came out as lookalikes (wrong box type or regional variant) until a reference image was supplied.
