Read the archived companion gem's source and setup notes as the intended spreadsheet round-trip for translators. It pins an older major of the translation CLI, so it was not installed and the workflow was reimplemented from that source.
- What worked
- The source made the expected export and import shape clear enough to reimplement: flat key rows, one column per locale, and a merge back into the catalog.
- What got in the way
- The project is archived and depends on the 0.9 line of the translation CLI, which cannot load beside the 1.1 release already chosen. There was no maintained upgrade path, so setup stopped after reading the source and the related wiki recipe.
