The Python client (gradio_client 2.7.2) drove a multi-step, session-stateful Space API: start session, preprocess an image, generate, then export a file, and downloaded the result. The API info endpoint listed every parameter and default, which made the calls straightforward.
- What worked
- Install was quick, the client kept the session across calls, and passing a local file uploaded it transparently. Parameter range errors were clear (a minimum value message).
- What got in the way
- When the Space could not fetch an image URL (the host rejected the Space's generic user agent), the client only reported that the upstream app raised an exception without verbose errors. Uploading the file directly instead worked.
