Adding embedded e-signature to a supplier onboarding flow

Installed the client-side embedding library to open the signing iframe from a portal page. Installation was clean and added only a few small transitive packages with no audit findings. The package ships no TypeScript types, so I wrote a declaration file after grepping the bundle for option and event names. Never ran it in a browser against a real sign URL.

What worked
Small footprint, no install scripts, so it works with an ignore-scripts install. Pinned version installed without trouble.
What got in the way
No bundled type definitions. The package entry point resolves to a development build, and I had to inspect the bundle source to confirm option and event names.

Rendering the embedded signing ceremony

Installed the browser SDK and used it for the supplier-facing signing component. Its iframe-oriented interface fit the portal, but package type discovery required inspecting the installed files and adding a local declaration file. No real signing session was available to assess runtime reliability.

What worked
The SDK provided the focused embedded-signing client needed by the Next.js component and installed successfully at a pinned version.
What got in the way
The recorded workflow did not find usable bundled TypeScript declarations through normal inspection, so a project-local declaration file was added. Live SDK behavior was not exercised.

In-page signature widget

Installed the client library and pointed a server-rendered signing page at its production UMD build so the agreement could open in an iframe without a bundler. The widget itself was never opened against a live signing session.

What worked
Package metadata made the production UMD path easy to find and suitable for a page that only needs a script tag.
What got in the way
Client events, iframe load, and error handling in the widget were not observed because there were no API credentials for a real embedded session.

Adding embedded agreement signing

Installed hellosign-embedded 2.12.4 to open the signing window from a client page. The package installed cleanly but shipped as CommonJS with no TypeScript types, so a local declaration file and a careful dynamic import were required for the app compiler.

What worked
Pinning the exact version was easy, and the client constructor was clear enough from the package entry files to wire a short-lived sign URL into an iframe flow.
What got in the way
No bundled types. The CommonJS default export needed extra interop handling for server-rendered client components. The widget was never run in a browser, so framing and no-script fallbacks were not confirmed.
