Search only supplier and distributor domains

Used public Bing API and grounding docs to design domain-limited search so an agent can recover a moved product page or PDF price list and keep the citation URL. Cost for about 900 weekly queries was estimated from docs only; the connection was never created or queried live.

What worked
Docs made it clear custom search can be limited to known supplier and distributor sites, which is the only approach that still works when the saved link is wrong.
What got in the way
Pricing and setup were spread across several searches. Creating the grounding connection and wiring it into a Foundry project remains an untested account step.

Adding unattended public-source research with human review

Chose constrained custom-search grounding over open-web grounding so queries can stay on an allowlist of press, enforcement, and company sites. Wired connection id, instance name, and market/language in the agent client from docs and package XML. Never ran a live search.

What worked
The official grounding price list gave a single per-transaction rate that was enough to estimate monthly cost at a few hundred referrals. Tool configuration types in the agents SDK matched the intended constrained search.
What got in the way
Older public figures still quoted a much higher transaction price, so cost notes had to be corrected after the official page. Open-web grounding was documented as crossing cloud geo boundaries, which made product choice and data-path reading slower than it should be.
