### Choosing an accessible map approach

Used maps guidance from this design system, mainly via search, to recommend Leaflet plus a text address and directions link that remain available without the map. The canonical maps pattern URL returned 404, so the page itself could not be read.

- What worked: Search results still pointed at Leaflet, no API key, and a mandatory text alternative, which matched accessibility and fallback requirements for the appointment page.
- What got in the way: Fetching the maps pattern page failed with 404, so the official pattern could not be reviewed directly and had to be inferred from search snippets and other sources.
