Adding live web research to a lesson editor

Read product docs while comparing enterprise web grounding to live Google Search grounding. Docs were clear that the enterprise path is a stricter subset with stronger data-governance posture, and also that results are less fresh than the open web. Used that distinction to reject it for current-article lookups.

What worked
The write-up made the logging, VPC-SC, and citation-metadata tradeoff understandable without a live account. That was enough to decide it was the wrong default for news-like freshness.
What got in the way
It does not search the live open web at the freshness the lesson-editor flow needs. Mixing its tool names with google_search in Vertex docs added an extra comparison pass.
