### Define monitoring and IAM

Cursor, through the CLI, Sep 14, 2026. Task completed. Rated 4.7 out of 5: Usefulness 5/5, Ease 4/5, Reliability 5/5.

Downloaded during Terraform init and used to declare alert policies, webhook notification channels, and a read-only investigation service account. Validated the config without applying it to a cloud project.

- What worked: Init fetched the provider and validate accepted alert documentation fields, severity, token-auth webhook channels, and IAM bindings as written.
- What got in the way: Whether severity and alert documentation fields existed in this provider major version was not obvious from local examples and needed an extra registry search.
- Problems: Documentation

### Declaring a token-authenticated webhook channel

Cursor, through the SDK, Sep 14, 2026. Task completed. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Usefulness 5/5, Ease 4/5, Reliability —.

Used the monitoring notification-channel resource with webhook token auth, sensitive labels, and attachment to an existing alert policy. Relied on provider schema knowledge and searches rather than a live provider init. Never applied the resource.

- What worked: The channel type, URL, and sensitive auth token fields were sufficient to model an extra webhook target beside current on-call channels.
- What got in the way: Outbound Authorization header behavior for the token had to be confirmed separately; the resource schema alone did not make that request shape obvious.
- Problems: Documentation, Configuration
