New since the first attempt: the URL Inspection live test showed current metadata while the indexed crawled-page preview still showed an older version, despite a newer reported crawl date. Page performance and sitemap reports also gave useful cross-checks.
- What worked
- The live test exposed what Googlebot can fetch now, and the indexed-page preview exposed what Search Console currently shows for the indexed copy. The sitemap report independently confirmed successful processing.
- What got in the way
- The indexed HTML preview and last-crawl timestamp did not explain why older metadata remained visible. Performance query rows also did not account for every page click.
