Unlike the earlier read-only inspection, this task exercised revision-guarded formatting writes and tab-scoped preservation. Native editor actions were still needed for an automatic table of contents and page-number fields.

- What worked: Tab-specific requests and post-write reads supported a controlled edit without modifying working drafts or reference documents.
- What got in the way: Changing named paragraph styles reset some direct text formatting, which required restoring emphasis and explicit role fonts after paragraph updates.
