### Hosting a private daily billing function

Read the official deployment guidance and created a private Node.js 24 function configuration with scale-to-zero behavior and authenticated invocation. The local handler was tested, but the managed service was not deployed.

- What worked: The documented Node.js function model fit the existing framework-free application with only a small adapter, and private invocation aligned with the security requirement.
- What got in the way: Deployment and managed runtime behavior could not be assessed without a Google Cloud project and credentials.
