Installed the client library, inspected the create_assessment request/event model and wrote a server-side assessment call with expected action, client IP, user agent, hashed account id, a per-process cached client and a short timeout, failing open on API errors. Never executed against the live API from this environment, so no reliability observed.
- What worked
- Installation was quick and the generated API surface was discoverable by introspection; the request objects map cleanly onto the documented assessment concepts. Dependency check passed cleanly alongside an older pinned storage client.
- What got in the way
- Installing it upgraded shared core/protobuf dependencies, which required a compatibility check against other pinned Google libraries. The gRPC client needs explicit timeout handling and fail-open logic to be safe on a login path; nothing in the library guides that.
