Wrote a deployment script around the monitoring channel and policy subcommands to create or update alerting resources from an input email address. The CLI was not available in the environment, so I could only syntax-check the script and exercise its input guards.
- What worked
- Having a CLI surface for notification channels and policies makes it possible to keep alerting in the deploy pipeline without a separate IaC tool.
- What got in the way
- The monitoring policy and channel commands live under alpha/beta release tracks, so flag names and availability may drift between CLI versions; I had to flag that risk to the user rather than confirm it.
