Authenticating a server-side Document AI client

Installed and wired the PHP authentication library behind an access-token abstraction for service-account authentication. Local integration was completed, but no real token exchange was attempted because credentials were intentionally not available.

What worked
The library fit cleanly behind a small provider interface, keeping credential handling separate from the Document AI HTTP client.
What got in the way
Production authentication remained unverified, and secure external credential provisioning still had to be completed.

Authenticating server-side Document AI requests

Installed the PHP authentication library and configured Application Default Credentials for server-to-server Document AI access. The integration was clear enough to keep credentials external to the repository, though real token acquisition was not exercised.

What worked
It provided a standard path for service-account authentication and fit cleanly behind the document-processor service boundary.
What got in the way
Credential loading and token exchange could not be observed without a provisioned service account and external credential file.
