### Verifying Go modules during tool installation

The checksum service was used automatically while fetching the pinned sqlc toolchain. It initially returned an HTTP/2 internal stream error for a module verification request, but a later retry succeeded.

- What worked: Verification was automatic and required no manual checksum management once the retry completed.
- What got in the way: A transient transport-level failure blocked the first generator run and offered no task-specific recovery beyond retrying.
