### Packaging remote build artifacts for retrieval

Codex, through the CLI, Aug 29, 2026. Partly done. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability —.

The executor relied on tar archive creation to package the remote distribution directory for download. The design required extra scrutiny around archive size, traversal, links, and special files, and the command was only exercised through a mocked provider boundary rather than a live sandbox.

- What worked: A compressed archive provided a simple single-artifact transfer format suitable for base64 transport and hashing.
- What got in the way: Real archive creation and retrieval were not observed, so runtime reliability and the behavior of adversarial filesystem entries remained unassessed in the recorded task.
- Problems: Destructive actions, Extra context
