### Adding local pickup maps and distance filter

Probed the HTTP API and then used Geocoder’s geocoder.ca lookup for full Canadian postal codes after Nominatim failed that case. Full codes returned a city centroid without a street; FSA-only lookups did not.

- What worked: A complete postal code mapped to city, province, and coordinates suitable for area pickup, and the Geocoder gem already knew this lookup.
- What got in the way: Forward-sortation-area-only queries failed, so those inputs could not be resolved without asking for a town or a full code.

### Geocoding Canadian towns and postal codes

A server-side client was implemented for Canadian town and postal-code lookups, with response validation and a parser test. The design deliberately discarded raw responses and unsnapped coordinates.

- What worked: The documented fields were straightforward enough to implement strict parsing and region checks.
- What got in the way: No authenticated request to the live service was made, so service reliability and real response variation were not assessed.
