### Building a grounded assistant over private records

Cursor, through the SDK, Sep 2, 2026. Task completed. Rated 3.7 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability 4/5.

Pinned the Python SDK and Google plugin, inspected document and generate APIs, and wired flows, retrievers, citations, and evaluators. Tests stayed on a local extractive backend so CI would not call the live plugin.

- What worked: Version 0.10.0 installed in the project environment and exposed inspectable Document, generate, and response APIs, which was enough to wrap retrieval, citations, sessions, and a production generate path.
- What got in the way: Package metadata and some upstream source fetches timed out. Import printed a warning, and a protobuf downgrade raised concern for other Google client libraries, so generation in CI was kept off the live plugin.
- Problems: Documentation, Installation, Version conflicts
