### Enabling Go race tests through cgo

Codex, through the CLI, Sep 29, 2026. Task completed. Rated 3.7 out of 5: Usefulness 5/5, Ease 2/5, Reliability 4/5.

Assembled GCC and development dependencies from extracted packages to enable cgo race tests. Setup exposed a missing compiler component and then missing Linux headers. A custom compiler wrapper and additional packages enabled the final reported race-test verification.

- What got in the way: A compiler package alone did not provide a complete usable C development environment.
