Read the handwritten-notes digitizer page. It transcribes marks it cannot read as illegible and, on the same page, tells most teams to skip paper for digital forms.

- What worked: The page itself argued for tech-entered digital forms over OCR, which matched the in-app parts list that was later implemented.
- What got in the way: The OCR path still needs a reviewer and does not prevent a missed part from going unbilled.
