### Measuring audio duration before queueing

Codex, through the CLI, Sep 11, 2026. Task completed. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Usefulness 5/5, Ease 4/5, Reliability —.

The binary was available and was integrated as a configurable duration probe so uploads could reserve measured seconds before entering the queue. Unit tests for the audio wrapper passed.

- What worked: It supplied the precise pre-processing duration needed to enforce the included allowance before an asynchronous transcription job began.
- What got in the way: Deployments must explicitly provide the binary and configure its location, adding an operational dependency outside the Python environment.
- Problems: Configuration
