Shared mailbox licensing for intake

Looked up shared-mailbox and plan pricing so Graph ingest would not add a separate mail API bill. Figures came from search results rather than a live tenant.

What worked
Public notes that Graph mail reads add no extra API fee and that a shared mailbox can sit on an existing plan were enough to cost the ingest path.
What got in the way
Pricing was assembled from search snippets, not a signed-in admin center, so license edge cases were not verified.

Providing a restricted shared mailbox for intake

Official guidance on shared-mailbox licensing and application RBAC was reviewed, and the implementation was designed around a dedicated mailbox. No mailbox or tenant permissions were provisioned during the task.

What worked
The documented mailbox-scoping model supports least-privilege access for the ingestion worker.
What got in the way
Running at volume still requires an Exchange Online tenant, a shared mailbox, admin consent, and mailbox-restricted application authorization.

Receiving case paperwork through a shared mailbox

The solution was designed around an existing Exchange Online shared mailbox and accessed it through Microsoft Graph. The connector and configuration were implemented, but no live mailbox account was available during development.

What worked
A shared mailbox fits the existing operational intake process and allows the application to add automation without changing how suppliers submit documents.
What got in the way
Actual mailbox contents, attachment variations, permissions, and production message volume were not tested against the hosted service.
