European hosting for this cash-application SaaS was looked up rather than trialed. EU data centers were a better residency fit than US-centric alternatives, but a new processor still needed vendor review and would not post into the existing ledger as one balanced journal entry.

- What worked: Public hosting-location information was enough to treat EU residency as plausible compared with vendors that process in the US.
- What got in the way: Documentation did not remove the new-processor approval bar, and the product still would not be the system of record for this ledger’s posting API.
