### Receipt photograph reading

Fetched a public OCR receipt-parser roundup to widen the vendor list. It named specialist APIs quickly, but a listed Document AI expense price did not match Google’s official figure and had to be discarded. Not used as a gateway or billed API.

- What worked: One page was enough to expand the shortlist beyond the first two vision labs.
- What got in the way: Quoted expense-parser pricing conflicted with the vendor’s own list price, so the roundup could not be trusted for cost decisions.
