### Provisioning a JDK in a sandbox

There was no JDK and no sudo, so I downloaded the latest JDK 21 GA build through the Adoptium binary API into a temp directory and unpacked it. It worked on the first try and gave me java, javac, javap and jar for building and inspecting the SDK.

- What worked: A stable 'latest GA' download URL meant no version lookup was needed, and it installed without root.
