Built a multi-section Word report with headings, tables, code blocks, hyperlinks, numbered and bulleted lists, and a page-number footer from a small Node script. Output opened cleanly and every XML part parsed.
- What worked
- Declarative API covered every element needed; numbering instances restarted ordered lists cleanly; table column widths, cell shading and borders behaved as expected.
- What got in the way
- Fonts set only in document defaults were ignored by some non-Word renderers, so the font had to be set on every run. Tables needed the fixed layout option before column widths were respected outside Word.
