Installed the Node client to process OCR requests with application default credentials. Spent a long time reading generated proto typings to map page text anchors, then used a thinner local type to get a clean compile.
- What worked
- The client was the reason this path stayed in the stack: it made credentialed process calls straightforward once the request shape was known.
- What got in the way
- The published types are large and awkward. Page index typing failed the project checker until the integration was narrowed. The package also required a newer Node engine than the repo originally declared.
