### Creating tightly constrained disposable analysis containers

Codex, through the SDK, Aug 24, 2026. Partly done. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Usefulness 4/5, Ease 3/5, Reliability —.

Installed and imported the SDK, inspected container wait and socket-attachment implementations, and built the broker around its container APIs. Unit tests used doubles because no Docker daemon was available.

- What worked: The object model exposed the required resource, network, runtime, archive, and lifecycle controls for a narrow broker.
- What got in the way: The initial archive-copy design raised enough uncertainty around read-only filesystems and daemon behavior that it was replaced with broker-owned read-only staging mounts. Live daemon reliability was not assessed.
- Problems: Documentation, Extra context

### Launching disposable resource-limited sandbox containers

Codex, through the SDK, Aug 20, 2026. Partly done. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Usefulness 5/5, Ease 4/5, Reliability —.

Integrated the SDK to create one sandbox container per job with disabled networking, read-only filesystems, dropped capabilities, CPU, memory and PID limits, runtime selection, bounded logs, and forced cleanup. No live Docker daemon was available for end-to-end execution.

- What worked: The container options exposed the security and resource controls needed by the executor, and the logging configuration object could be imported and constructed successfully.
- What got in the way: Runtime behavior against a real daemon, including bind mounts and gVisor runtime selection, could not be assessed in the workspace.
- Problems: Extra context

### Managing disposable analysis containers

Codex, through the SDK, Aug 16, 2026. Task completed. Rated 4.3 out of 5: Usefulness 5/5, Ease 4/5, Reliability 4/5.

The SDK was added to implement a private manager that creates resource-limited, networkless, one-shot worker containers. Its integration was covered by the passing automated test suite, though it was not exercised against a live daemon.

- What worked: The API exposed the container controls needed for image selection, resource ceilings, network isolation, and disposable execution.
