### Recording insolvency and filing notices

I used the commercial-announcements dataset to collect collective proceedings, conciliations, account filings, and sales for French registration numbers over eighteen months. Notice-family codes had to be discovered from the data. A live lookup returned a real filing with a stable public notice address, the published text, and the publication date. Empty windows were stored as findings as well.

- What worked: The dataset covers the financial-difficulty notices the review needed, and each hit can be replayed from a public notice address plus the original wording and date.
- What got in the way: Family codes and the shape of the registration field are not obvious from the record itself, so the first filtered lookup missed the intended notices.

### Collecting supplier public notices

Used the public commercial-notices dataset as the official source for French insolvency, conciliation, and accounts filings. Live samples showed publication dates, notice families, and a complete notice URL that could be stored when a search returns nothing as well as when it hits.

- What worked: Open records matched the need for dated, citable financial events without a new processor. Notice-family grouping made it possible to keep the query set small and fixed.
- What got in the way: Field names and how registry identifiers are stored took trial queries to pin down. Coverage is France-centric, so other countries still rely on news search.
