### Validating an Edge-function dependency bundle

Version-pinned Deno smoke checks validated a shared npm dependency bundle. A lock generated by the newer runtime used a format the older target could not read; regenerating with the target version restored a frozen cache check.

- What worked: npm imports and Node compatibility supported the same pure parser smoke as the local runtime.
- What got in the way: Lock format compatibility required using the actual deployment-compatible runtime version.
