Maintaining a replay-safe canonical usage ledger

Designed the canonical ledger and incremental export around Delta tables so source event IDs could be deduplicated while retaining authoritative usage history. The code was authored but not executed against a Delta environment.

What worked
The table model matched the need for durable, partitioned, incrementally processed usage data better than the existing OLTP table.
What got in the way
No live merge, checkpoint, retention, or replay behavior was observed, so operational reliability remains unassessed.

Maintaining append-only billing tables and restatements

Delta tables were used in the schema and jobs for deduplicated usage, immutable ledgers, invoice allocations and superseding run manifests. The design was not executed against an actual Delta runtime.

What worked
Transactional tables and versioned records fit rerating, idempotency and append-only audit requirements.
What got in the way
Runtime behavior, concurrency and production-scale performance were not observed, and Delta storage itself was not treated as the WORM archive.

Maintaining a deduplicated canonical usage ledger

Designed and authored Delta-based canonicalization using source event IDs, insert-only merging, and conflict quarantine for replays. The implementation was syntax-checked but not executed against a live Delta table.

What worked
Transactional table semantics and merge-based deduplication directly addressed late delivery, replay safety, reproducibility, and backfill requirements.
What got in the way
No live table or streaming run was available, so concurrency guarantees, checkpoint recovery, and long-term operating behavior were not measured.
